Mondays 11.00am- 12.00 noon- term times- at Lanhydrock Memorial Hall. PL30 5AE.
Classes are suitable for Mummy and Baby from 6 weeks old to fast crawlers. Focusing on nurturing the post natal recovery for mummy, whilst incorporating songs, sensory aspects and gentle movement for baby.
From after your 6 week check up ( 8/10 weeks for Caesarean births) Post natal yoga is a wonderful way in which to meet other new mothers whilst gently giving yourself permission to honor this time for your own self care whilst connecting with your beautiful baby.
What happens during the class?
Postnatally a woman can face may new emotional and physical challenges. Yoga gives you permission to rest and reconnect with yourself, your emotions and the breath; it helps build strength and stamina; aids relaxation and helps you to let go of anxieties, worries and stress. No previous yoga experience is required as each class is lovingly crafted to ensure all specific needs are met. Classes always start with a short informal group chat to see how you are all feeling and form a sense of community.
Classes will focus on the most common postnatal concerns such as pelvic floor, reconnecting to the core, strengthening the lower back, stabilizing the pelvis after pregnancy and releasing tension in the neck & shoulders and back
Baby will also be entertained by incorporating singing, gentle movement and sensory items.
What is the Investment?
Block bookings are required to fully engaged in your yoga journey. Book your weekly yoga time for an investment of £64 for a term of 6 weekly consecutive classes. For this you get a guaranteed space in class each week and early priority access to book further block bookings. Enabling you to continue your yoga journey right throughout your postnatal period. Regrettably missed classes cannot be transferred or refunded, however a pre recorded online class is gifted in lieu.
Subject to availability, a drop in rate of £13.50 per class may be requested, however this is always subject to student numbers and must be booked and paid for 48hrs in advance.
What do I need?
I provide all yoga equipment including yoga mats. Please bring water to drink, anything your baby may need (changing bags/ changing mat/wipes/muslin cloth/bottles/nappies/favourite toy etc), a blanket for baby to lie on and an optional blanket for yourself. Please wear comfortable clothing (layers are usually best). There is no baby change facilities at the hall, so do please bring a a changing mat and take any used nappies home with you. There is ample parking and easy access at the hall, however if you wish to bring a pram there is space in the hallway to leave it.
